Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What are your rates?
A. Our rates depend on a number of pieces of information that we need in order to give an exact quote. We would need to know how many people are attending, the duration or length of the event, the location of the event, the type of event, and the date of the event.

Q. How many DJs do you currently have?
A. Right now, we have 3 DJs who specialize in weddings, birthdays, corporate events, etc., and are working hard to train more DJs in order to maintain an open availability to our customers.

Q. What packages do you have available?
A. We currently have 3 packages that are suited for different amounts of guests that will be attending. It is structured this way because bigger venues and more people require more speakers and lights. The packages we offer are the Deluxe, Enhanced, and Essentials Package. More information can be found on our packages webpage at www.diversedjevents.com/packages

Q. Do you have bilingual DJs and Emcees? 
A. Yes we do. We currently have DJs/Emcees who speak any of the following languages: Chinese (Mandarin), Spanish, Vietnamese, English, German

Q. Do you offer uplighting?
A. Yes, we offer uplighting at an additional charge of $20 per light for the first 10 lights, then $10 per light thereafter. Uplighting is not included in the package price, as many venues may provide uplighting in their costs. Be sure to check in with the venue (if applicable) to see if they can provide uplighting.

Q. Do you offer Dance Floor Lighting?
A. Yes, we have 3 different packages of dance floor lighting that can be added to the Deluxe, Enhanced, and Essentials Packages. Pictures of these packages can be found at www.diversedjevents.com/packages

Q. What is included in your packages?
A. Our packages may include some, or all of the following: Speakers, Subwoofers, Ceremony Setups, Intelligent Lighting, Fog Machines, Custom Monogram, and so much more.

Q. What is a custom monogram?
A. A custom monogram is a custom-made display of your name that can be projected on the dance floor, wall, or on a projector. This is great for weddings, birthdays, and corporate events if you’d like to have a message or the newlywed’s names displayed. 

Q. Do you provide Dance Floors? 
A. Yes we do! However, we only have a 10’x10’ dance floor. We are working on getting larger dance floors.

Q. I have a live act performing during my event and will need to use your equipment. How would that work with your system?
A. You MUST let us know immediately if you have a live act performing during your event because we will most likely need separate equipment to ensure that the live act can properly connect with our system, which would be an extra charge. Otherwise, the live act will be entirely responsible to provide their own equipment and we will not be responsible for any issues that arise with the live act scheduled to perform.

Q. How early will the DJ arrive to set up?
A. Our DJs will usually arrive an hour to two hours early, depending on the size of the setup. If the vendor has specific time restraints on when vendors can arrive or when everyone must be out of the venue, please make sure to note this in the event planning form.

Q.Could we set up a specific time to chat with the DJ about our event?
A. Please refer to our scheduling service to schedule a time to chat with your DJ.

Q. Will you provide a microphone/speaker for the wedding ceremony (if your event is a wedding)?
A. The standard, deluxe, and ultimate package include a microphone and separate speaker to use for the ceremony if it's in a different location from the reception (over 200 feet from the DJ setup in the reception area).

Q. I can't find specific songs in your music library online. Does that mean that you don't have that song?
A. The music database is just a tool that is used to let us know what you'd like to hear. It is in no way an exact representation of what music we have or can obtain. You can actually add custom songs that you cannot find in the library, so that we are aware and can find the music that you are requesting.

Q. Can I play music from my phone with a Spotify/Apple Music/Youtube playlist?
A. We do not allow our clients (or their guests) to play music directly from their phone. However, you are free to send the link of the playlist to your DJ for him or her to reference when collecting the music. That way, we can play the exact music that you'd like to hear.

Q. Will your DJ be able to make announcements and keep things moving for us?
A. Our DJs are trained to MC events, so they will make announcements and ensure that everything on the timeline happens on time. They will work with any event coordinators, photo/videographers, caterers, and other vendors attending your event to make sure everyone is ready for a specific event on the timeline that the vendor is involved in.

Q. Do you take requests from guests the day of the event?
A. Your DJ will take any request that fits with the current music being played, given that the song is in the DJ's library and is appropriate for the event.

Q. Can you play music from YouTube videos if the song is only available on YouTube?
A. We will not play any music that requires to be played directly from a YouTube video because that would require us to have a strong internet connection, and the video may display ads before the video begins. I think it would be pretty embarrassing if ads were being played during your first dance or when you're walking down the aisle, right?

Q. When do I have to make the final payment, and which methods of payment do you take?
A. We require all payments to be made BEFORE the start of the event. We will not setup if the final payment hasn't been made. As for payment, we can swipe a credit/debit card, or you can pay with cash or a check. All checks must be made out to DIVERSE DJ, LLC and NOT your DJ.
